per News Nation report after obtaining documents from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, after they interviewed migrants along the Darien Gap in Panama. The same segment showed RFK at the border, where he said he would announce on day one as president that the border was closed to illegal entry and would begin enforcing current laws so that nobody gets across illegally, and then work with Central American governments to get them to do more to slow it down on their end.

Last figure I saw was 10.5 million here illegally. I'm guessing that figure is higher now. So, laws are not being enforced, or there is at least a really big enforcement issue, with those numbers.

With over 10 million people here illegally, the above is not happening. It's not my definition of enforcement. It's THE definition of enforcement.

Otherwise, why wouldn’t most of them simply stay in Mexico?
Mexico’s government didn’t do anything to stop the illegal migrants from entering Mexico in the first place. As far as asylum seeking as an excuse, Mexico would be as good of a safe harbor as the USA.
Mexico let these illegals into their country. This is entirely Mexico’s problem, that is, if changing electoral constituencies were not on the (dying) Democrat party’s agenda. Because of political calculus, the Democrats are all-in for unlimited illegal immigration.
