Friday night, didn't do a whole lot. Highlight of the night was strawberry pudding.

Saturday, went to the Charlotte area for my nephew's birthday party at Frankie's Fun park. I learned kids can spend money at a casino than I can.

Sunday, off to Columbia for a zoo trip. Had 6 free passes so we took my friends and their 3 kids. It was good time, fed a giraffe and some kinda bird.

Took off Friday and McBrother and I went to Russell. We caught 46 bass, a hybrid, a gar, and a channel cat.

Fri night had a father-son campout with church. Did not sleep too good and abandoned my kid for a tournament Sat morning.

Sat - We caught about 30 fish in the tournament and finished in 6th.

Sat night bunko, finished middle of the pack.

Sun - Church in the morning, cut grass :( Played outside and grilled burgers for dinner. Purchased a new grill cuz my last one was cheap garbage that lasted 4 years.

Friday spent the day in the 3 Tyger rivers running water tests. Good news, the E. coli is very low.

Saturday only work was checking plates from Friday. Piddled at yard work, laundry, house cleaning

Sunday took mom and her 102 yo friend to City Range for lunch another friend dropped off Murphy who I’ll be dog sitting while she digs for dinosaur bones in Montana

Buster isn’t thrilled but Murphy seems happy.

Spent the weekend in Rock Thrill packing up the kiddo at Winthrop. (Side note: There was NO apparent RH Tig sighting). Had an epic dinner at Epic Chop House in spite of it being prom (with an "m") night.

Stayed at the Tru by Hilton hotel. My sincere advice is DON'T. Paper thin walls let us hear convos on rooms beside, above and below us. The room was quite spartan, on 1 night stand, no microwave or coffee maker, no closet (pegs on the wall to hang stuff), no pool (but a pool table). Staff was rude and Gold Hill Road was quite noisy. Not to mention the lady that started arguing with her son at 3:15am and then called someone in India. Some sports team was there and 2 college kids sat in the hall as well talking until 1:30am. On the positive side it did have a nice TV.

Came back Sunday, unloaded and watched golf, even though the only people on the leaderboard I recognized was Lowry & McIlroy. Even had some dood who's name sounded like some Italian pasta dish.

Not sure how to rate on any scale.

Would not Tru again.

Friday, took a half-day because we had a family business with our farm to attend to, then the Mrs. and I went up to Indian Land because she wanted to go see what the Home Goods store had. Since we're remodeling bathrooms, she is in full HGTV decorate mode. Didn't find much, so just down the road to Waxhaw and ate at Emmett's Social Table, food was excellent as always. Finally, over to the Waxhaw Taphoouse for Xtreme World Wrestling. Awesome show. These guys aren't the athletes that WWE/AEW are, but they are definitely entertaining and always come up with something unique every time.

Saturday, push mower, riding mower, weed eater, blower. Took care of some maintenance stuff and was ready to go by noon, finished up around 4:00, took the pup for a hike, then cracked a beer. Griddled up some onions, peppers, portabellos, and chorizo for delicious tacos. Collapsed in the Big Chair and mindlessly TV until time to crash.

Sunday, relaxing morning, hike with pup along the lake, grocery run and errands. Took off for Neighborhood Theater around 6:30 for Hayes Carll and Band of Heathens, which was as good a show and any you'll see. A little different than the Luckenbach show we saw that kicked off the idea of a tour, but stellar nonetheless. Home to crash around midnight.

Perfect 19/19 weekend.

Friday...went to dinner at CAMP in G'ville with BigDaddy's older brother. Dinner was fun, but don't think I'll go back to CAMP. Too pricey for what we got...they're trying to be a little too "cool" for my taste. Watched some NFL draft coverage.

Saturday...too fam and friend of daughter to Mama Penn's for breakfast. Wife and daughter and friend went to the Soiree in downtown Anderson. I went home with son-of and his new girl friend came over for the day. Did some work in yard...put up some lighting in the back yard...fixed toilet in half-bath...watched some NBA...took fam to messican for dinner. Drove Son-of's girlfriend home. In bed at a decent hour.

Sunday...grocery run...made sketti for lunch...watched some stupid movie with wife-of...made chicken pita wraps for dinner...bed early so I could get up early this morning.

Up at 4am and in to work by 530am to see what our 3rd shift production was up to.

Friday: not much, but found out the next day that not only did a buddy (Don Merckle, RH Tig) go see Hayes Carl/BoH at Windjammer, that I somehow missed was happening, they actually had an extra ticket because another guy didn't show up. So they totally called me, right? Of COURSE NOT. They gave it to some stranger in line who needed a ticket.

Saturday: discovered the previous night's miss when I went to the batting cages with aforementioned Donald, who plays in the 38+ baseball beer league; he hadn't swung a bat in a few weeks and had a game on Sunday, and needed somebody to handle his balls for him, so I'm usually the first call there, unlike when extra tickets for Hayes Carl are hanging out, looking for a home. Anyway, I stepped up to the plate just for shits and giggles, haven't swung a bat in a good 25+ years, and went through about 30 shag balls at ~70mph. Surprisingly...made contact with almost every swing. Some foul tips and maybe 2-3 full on whiffs, but definitely woulda put some balls into play, and at least a few that outfielders would have had to make plays on, so hey...not bad. Had some dranks at a buddy's house that night, shortly after the dashboard in the Pilot lit up like a Christmas tree and wouldn't start. Setting up for a nice Sunday.

Sunday: Pilot cranks up (so magical), take it to Autozone to get battery and alternator tested; have to turn ignition off to get reading, and whaddya know...won't start again. Put jumper cables on it, still no start. Can hear the starter solenoid clicking, so maybe the starter has gone bad. Guy puts new battery in, still won't start. So I get on USAA app and order a tow truck to take it down the road to Firestone. Tow truck on the way in 60-90 minutes, credit card charged for $138, decide to try the key again....naturally, it cranks right up. Cancel tow truck (still have to see if I'm being charged the $138), swing by a buddy's house who has the professional grade Bosch diagnostic kit. Can't locate anything in particular that's potentially draining the battery, and no starter codes being thrown, so...I don't know. Whatever. It's starting now, so maybe it magically fixed itself. Until it didn't.

Also bought a battery for the Acura that's been sitting idle for most of the year, figured it would be more than a dead battery keeping it from cranking, but dang thing fired right up.

Anyway, pretty lame weekend all around, I'ma go with 7/17 covids, don't care if I do it again.

Fri - Kinda just hung around, no karaoke

Sat - First round of golf in nearly six months in the a.m. Didn't score well but hit the ball better than expected. Didn't make a putt and got tired a.f. towards the end of the round. Turned a high70s/low 80s into an 86, but shoulder held together and felt good after so I'll take it as a win. Home for an hour but then back out to course to see middle one and her friends all come out for prom pictures. She is amazing and beautiful (no pigs) and as much as I enjoyed it, it was tough. Got home and wife and I went out to the Park Avenue Oyster Bar, killed a dozen oysters and the shrimp and grits. Place was on point. Went to the alley and there was unplanned karaoke so we were able to sing a few, which led to

Sun - sooooooo tired from prior day's activities, just laid around a good bit early. Cleaned up and headed to lil bro's house, he wanted me to check out his water heater. It was sitting in a small pool of water but thankfully is in the garage, so I told homeboy he needs to just get a new one (it looks to be the original from when the house was built). Came home and little one was bound and determined to get in the pool (which opened this weekend), so she did. That lasted about 15-20 minutes. Made a quick voila meal for supper cause tired a.f. Will do some real cooking this week.

Got up Saturday morning and saw wife and middle son off on their way to North Myrtle for a soccer tourney. They lost first one and won second one. Then took daughter to her soccer match, they won 3-0 (I think). Lastly, took youngest to his soccer match across town, they tied 2-2. Got some sunburn, nice. Dropped daughter off at friend's house for sleepover and met wife and son for dinner. Sold my OCMS / Hayes and the Heathen's ticket because too much going on. I'm meh on OCMS, probably alot of fun, but Hayes and the Heathens is what I missed the most. Anyways, wife was appreciative. Watched the movie with Sydney Sweeney and guy from Top Gun, it sucked.

Up Sunday and it was my turn to drive to MB for tourney. Son's team played a MUCH Better team from Charleston, beat us 5-0. That team was 3-0 in the tourney winning 8-0, 7-0, and 5-0. We got MAYBE three shots on goal the whole time and one was my son's free kick from halfway line. Arsenal beat spurs 3-2, so that is nice. Wife had taken daughter to volleyball and gotten their nails done so the house still needed cleaning when I got home, helped with that and went to the grocery store. To-Go italian food for dinner and then off to bed.

Meh, soccer is almost over and North London is Red.

Friday patio time.

Saturday did some yard work and then had a nice evening at Connestee with some friends for a fundraiser dinner. Pretty good, free beer and wine and got our friends amusingly drunk.

Sunday piddled around then went to Clemson to celebrate Son-Of's 21st birthday. Had a lunch and a couple drinks, took him into TTT to get his Tshirt. Good times, can't believe he is 21.

Came home, lazed a bit and then started working til 2am. Back up at it at 7. Thankfully this is the last weekend I have to do this nonsense for a while.

All in all 21 out of zero. Would repeat.

decent drive up to Winchester KY Friday night, set up a tent in the dark which was challenging, laughed at the 1am train that must have blown its horn a dozen times, found out Saturday mornin that Willma booked a hotel room for Saturday night! Great little camping spot with a nice view and a very friendly Great Pyrenees camp dog but the train secured us a bed for the next night

Had brunch in Winchester and was good, bought a bottle of local rye, had a beer at Abettor Brewing, had some more brown liquor in Lexington

Billy Strings was awesome as usual at the Rupp, played 3 songs with no breaks for the first 30 minutes, covered Zeppelin's Four Sticks also in the first set, 2nd set was just as stellar, trying to figure out how I can see them play again in the near future

Drive home was decent, wood do it all again

Made a visit to the west coast to visit daughter of. After multiple half marathons, she was running her 1st full. (Big Sur). Her hope was to qualify for Boston.
Most told her not to get her hopes up. Big Sur has over 1000 ft of elevation changes, and isn’t known as a marathon to use as a qualification run.
To qualify for Boston she needed a run of 3 hours and 30 minutes (8 minute mile average). She finished in 3:18:58 (7min 36 sec average) 3rd in her age group. 24th female (out of 1,683) and 124th overall (out of 3,546). Also 1st place female in Monterey County.

Sitting at the airport now to make my way back to Atlanta.
