Are we the "richest school in America"?........NO
Is our Coach the in the top 2-3 highest salaried coaches in the nation?.......YES
We haven't truly tried PORTAL and/or LED w/ NIL for portal or HS recruiting, only to retain current players.
Dabo's strength has been widely known as he's a GREAT RECRUITER. If that's still true I see no reason why he couldn't succeed w/ portal/NIL recruiting if some thought & process was put into it........We may not be the richest, but we certainly aren't the poorest and other "poorer" or similar schools have figured out the portal in some capacities to strengthen their starting lineup.

Dabo is not going to use the portal in a way that would satisfy you so just save yourself the frustration and get on board with the program

Clemson "CAN'T" is a false statement IMO.........Clemson "WON'T" or "REFUSES TO" is another conversation.

LOL @ 'truth'. Farting out thoughts doesn't equal truth. Putting some thought and process to it? Lulz.
And the OP is correct, we can NEVER compete in the pay to play space with so many much larger and better resourced alumni bases out there, at least not as it is configured today. Should parameters be put in place NCAA-wide to corral that then that's a different story. I don't agree with the projected results or settling approach there, but the underlying foundation behind that sentiment is accurate. Maths bear out that actual truth. It's pretty simple.

CLEM can win any race. The school is not going to let the program go backwards. When IPTAY raises what it does....and we pay our staff and have the facilities we do, you have an Admin that supports FB 1000%.....nothing is out of reach. There will be choices made on where/when, b/c it aint going to be like some drunken sailor at a strip joint, but CLEM will be always be competitive. Don't think the OSU model will last long....some structure will be implemented.
Need to make sure we successfully complete our conference journey.....
