Their 1000th victory on Saturday with their head coach watching on tv, unless courts change that on Friday. Lilttle ole Clemson is in 20th place on wins list. The coots are 98th out of 100 schools listed.

Michigan started playing football earlier than most, outside of the Ivy League schools. Michigan brought football to N.D. N.D’s first game ever was against Michigan. Michigan played its first game 11 years before the Bucknuts.

Clemson got its Orange & Tiger from Princeton, because Princeton was a football power in the 1890’s.

UGA gots its bulldog from Yale and some of their campus architecture too.

I don’t count those Ivy records as being the same. If Clemson had been playing in the Ivy’s since 1953, we’d have 40-50 undefeated seasons. I put Clemson at #14.

coots got their colors, because it helped hide the carnage of being ragdolled by everyone and their mascot because the only 2 animals they knew, were chickens & rats.

Interesting. I have always been taught that Clemson got its colors and mascot in 1896 from Walter Riggs, as he brought the ideas from his former Alma Mater of Auburn University.

Clemson is 14th in all time wins. Next year Clemson will reach the 800 win mark.

Never been to a game at the Big House. Have been to the Shoe for Bucknuts vs Blue, that game atmosphere that day, did not impress me.

I have. The Bucknuts can be loud and rowdy. It did not escape my notice that most of the OSU staff working in the food/beverage stands wore red t-shirts that said: Ann Arbor is a Hoarder. That tells you a lot.
