Anyone have a good recommendation for a cheap place around the stadium/ ft lauderdale for the game? flying into lauderdale on Friday and never been.

You will not want to stay " near " that stadium . Its the ghetto .
Trust me , commute from around 15 miles out , preferably towards the Everglades.

Anything cheap in or around Miami/lauderdale won't sound cheap as in cheap in SC. But the quality of their cheap rooms are as sleazy as it gets. Ask to see any room that seems to be cheaper compared to the average prices you see advertised on motel price signs out front. Most of the "cheap" ones won't refund your money after they hand you the key or key card. With most of the cheap places that advertise as cheap. You won't have to worry about rolling out of bed, bc you will end up in the middle soon after falling asleep. I have a good friend that owns a tattoo shop in lauderdale, and he was telling me about a month ago that a tourist couple woke up in a best western with a huge Python getting into their bed. I would have no doubt chit all over that snake. So, don't stay anywhere in Miami/Lauderdale that you enter your room from the outside!!! ??

If you stay near the ocean it is great but unless you go north to Boca Raton or Delray Beach it is not the best for feeling safe. South Beach is expensive and you may need to speak Spanish in Miami. Hampton Inn on Yamato Rd. in Boca is good option. Right of I-95 and close to restaurants and shopping. Go to the game right down I-95 to 595 West to the stadium in about 35 minutes. Airport is also about 30 minutes.
