Live scoring ^. starting 30 mins later than scheduled to try and get it played outdoors.

Looks like Stewart Aronson is not in the lineup for us as he wasn't vs Louisville or Alabama State either. I thought maybe him not playing vs Louisville was coaches decision since he lost 6-2 6-2 vs Notre Dame but it could actually be injury now that he has been out of the last 3 matches. He usually plays #3 doubles and #5 singles.

Aronson has had a few good wins this year and is streaky but it should not be that big of loss as Pitts and Smith can plug in fine in his absence.

UVA blasted us 6-1 on court 3 but it's tight on the remaining two courts

The freshman has been rounding into form last in the year.

Looks like UVA is close to finishing this off though

We looked so good against Bama st. But even with uva we're not that far off. Shelled in doubles but it seems we need work there anyway.

We won 2. That's a positive. Singles 1, 2, and 3 were at least competitive. One set could have easily gone the other way if we'd broke serve.

The Duke match we probably should have won. We played the coots competitive. Positive. The only bad one was last week at ND. Hopeful we can pull upsets in the acc's.

Baby steps. Close to volleyball to me. We won most that we should, a couple mild upsets, not competitive with top 10... but showed signs in winning a set or two.

and could win their 3rd straight natty. They haven't lost an ACC match in like 5 years, 50 something ACC match win streak.

Solid wins for Marko and Max. Ryuhei also had a 5-3 lead in the 1st set tiebreak vs Rodesch before losing the last 4 points. That was tough cause Rodesch is #7 in the nation and had full momentum after that.


We should finish the year off with a win vs VT on Saturday. They got routed in kind of embarrassing fashion today in Atlanta vs GT. Looks like the Hokies may be checked out, I would be disappointed if we lost that one. Then off to the ACC tourney.


But overall yes it kinda like volleyball this year. We had several pretty good almost performances. The Duke one stands out but also a decently close match at #7 Wake Forest that could have been 4-3 had it been played out. Close vs the Gamecocks, Memphis, GT, UNC etc.

SMU turned out to be a a very good win. They have turned it on since (Beat Memphis) and are inside the top 40 now and rising.

The only "bad" losses on the year were to Notre Dame and the 6-1 loss to Northwestern early on as they turned out to be not very good this season with us being their best win all year. The NC State match was the only one where I felt we didn't give good effort and were too easily routed by a good team. While in years past we had several of those matches.
