I know it's still early, but it's looking like UNC and Clemson Are the 2 best teams in the ACC.
As long as we can avoid more injuries, and chase hunter plays like we know he can, we are in really good shape.
Miami: got blown out by the only 2 good teams they played
Duke: played close games vs. kentucky and arkansas, and lost to GT.
UVA: have beaten a couple decent teams, but blown out by Memphis and Wisconsin. They only beat northeastern by 2 last game
UNC: beat tennessee and arky, and had close losses to kentucky, uconn, villanova
I know the haters are disappointed that we aren't going undefeated (which they apparently expected). We will even drop some more games this season. However, we are looking like a top 2 team in the ACC this year.

and everything to do with our current lack of depth.
Being down a starter and a key reserve put us at a disadvantage in a game like this. Foul trouble didn’t help either.
It is a testament to our talented players and excellent coaches that we continued to fight and were still in position to win late in the game against a good team in a hostile environment.

not to mention a scoring drought in the first five minutes of the second half.

Please be specific on what sucked about our offensive game plan. I would love to hear.
Did you watch the first 5 minutes if the second half, or did you just look at the box score and cry about it?
From memory
- pounded it down low to pj hall and got a good shot that he missed - pj missed a jumper. Cant remember if this was a good or bad shot - ian scheif missed 2 free throws in a row - dillon hunter missed an open 3 - ian scheif missed a short jumper that was a good shot - PJ hall mad 1 of 2 FTs
There were probably a couple of turnovers that i missed. All good shots except for maybe one.
You do realize there are times in games that we will mis 4-5 (maybe more) consecutive shots right? Scoring droughts/runs are a part of basketball. To think that we should never have them is delusional.

Exactly.
Apparently Hemmenway can’t look in the mirror without needing to go see the trainer.

I believe CBB was referring to tired in the contest of foul trouble...not that the whole team was tired.
I believe he admitted he should have played RJ more even with foul trouble.
We will need to get our two injured players back to have the best version of our team down the stretch.
PJ will be in foul trouble consistently on tobacco road.
Duke has a young but talented team so they will get better down the stretch.

I think they are missing wong more than they anticipated. He opened up a lot for nigel pack. They also arent a very big team (they werent last year either.
When we play them, our tallest 3 starters will all be taller then their C.

So you're saying ACC basketball as a whole ranges from mediocre to weak yet again? Hopefully we can take advantage this year.

based on the OP's evaluation of Clemson and the ACC. This tracks as Memphis just blew out another ACC team ranked higher than them this week. But there is still a long way to go.

I wouldnt say that. The acc was criminally underrated last year and we finished 4th. We are a better team this year.
Just curious if you talk this way about the ACC football conference? The ACC football conference has been significantly worse over the last 10 years than basketball.

I was merely summarizing your post. What the heck does football have to do with the current state of ACC basketball?
