Maybe what’s so disappointing is the knowing

that we’ve seen the ceiling with this staff. If we were a 6-5 team upgrading to this staff, we’d be in pretty good shape. But we all know Streeter and Wes are going to get Dabo time to learn on the job. Feels like 7-5 is inevitable again once the defensive recruits start to move on.

Even more frustrating was doubling down on poor strategy instead of adjusting. Every problem we saw today reared it’s head very early in the season, and many problems were carried over from last season.

Yup. 12 weeks to identify, isolate with drills and practice

Just seems basic. The wild part is that it just may be true that we struck gold in receuiting and that our staff doesnt actually have player development skills.

I used to think Reed was legit. But when our secondary gets torched, it gets torched big.

Jesus Christ dude, we are going to be okay. My God, we might be 12-2 when this season is all said and done, since when is that a bad season??

I think Streeter sucks but let’s see what Wes can do with some more time, they’re both in their first years at the end of the day.

And we have 2 of the top 5 DL recruits committed right now. What are you talking about? Plus we might see some draft eligible guys decide to stay next year.

Take a #### chill pill

You missed the supporting stats on the way to the win column

I’m looking forward trying to understand what could adapt to be better.

Wrt Defense…
360 yds passing allowed tonight.
263 rushing yards allowed to ND
If Wes had a coaching resume, I’d trust him more. But he doesn’t. Best I can tell, he’s doing less with more and Conn is his backstop — he coaches those safeties busting coverages all night.

But, the W/L problem is on the O, not the D. Look at USC, UCLA; no defense and the offensive opportunities that provides leads to Heisman candidates.
