Olympic champion, University of Virginia graduate. Exceptional coach and person. She gets disrespected on this site by people who resent Blacks in leadership and influential positions. She has changed lives “for the least of these” as a way of life. I don’t care for some of her views either, but she and Dabo are the accomplished coaches in our state.

She also perpetuated the story that fans at Brigham Young used racial slurs against athletes from another sport and another school and used that to justify canceling a home and home series. BYU for Pete's sake. The allegations were unfounded and made up, but that was used as a reason to not make that trip. Normally canceling a contract is a buyout of several thousand dollars, but Staley played the race card and that was that. Great player, great coach, piece of trash person.
