Hate to say it, and don't want to lose it, but either Clemson gets its act together and enforces it's own rules for Meeting At The Paw, or the ACC is going to ban it. What happened this evening was inexcusable. Mack should complain and the ACC would be right to sanction us a lot of $.

There are rules in place but are NEVER enforced. The only entrance to the field is from the hill. Yet people jump onto the field all the time and nothing is ever done.
If everyone follows the rules , then no prob. But they don't!

It was a SNAFU, I agree, but ONLY a big deal, if someone tries to make it so.
As far as I'm concerned, the ACC dammmmn well better remember who brought the frigging conference the national prestige along with a helllll of a lot of money the past ten + years. If any one owes anyone any frigging money, it ain't Clemson that ought to do the paying.

Then, everyone thught the game was over and the CU fans ran onto the field. Dabo called a TO with 3 seconds left to send out Seniors for the last play. The fans got moved off the field. The announcer then said "congrats seniors" which the fans took as game over, and rushed the field again. We get a 15 yard unsportsmanlike for the fans on the field. Have to, once again, usher them off the field so a play can be run. We run the time out on a knee and the fans once again went onto the field.
Really, I'm all for the gathering at the paw, but that's gonna be in jeopardy if we can't stop fans from entering the field too early.

Thousands of fans ran onto the field before time expired right as Dabo was calling timeout with 3 seconds left to pull the starters and put a group of seniors in to run the last play and take a knee.

…at the end of the game. Your typical (dumb) fan was expecting the clock to run, but dabo called a TO to give a curtain call for the seniors, but there were lots of dudes already jumping the wall. Once one idiot goes, the rest follow.

There really should be at least 1 minute put on the clock at the end.....

AND then the "Gathering at the Paw" can start.
I really think the coaches and players should have that time to do their post-game greeting.
Could simply put a countdown to the paw gathering on the video board.
As of now, on TV, at least, it simply looks like every other fanbase that rushes the field.
We know that's not what it is....but that's what it looks like.

The only way to keep the tradition going is to allow the opposing team time to clear the field. What happens now is no different from simply storming the field. It is chaos. We are going to lose the tradition if we don’t get smarter about it.

Good riddance. Field storming should be reserved for huge wins. This is a stupid “tradition” in my opinion and I’d be happy to see it go.
