Went to some dress shop in the sticks that does a ton of business because everyone thinks they're cheaper but they're selling stuff for the same MSRP as every other place in town because discounting is disallowed by manufacturer. Daughter said place was full of girls and every one of them had like three family members/friends there with them hyping them up over every dress. Women are weird.

Finally wife and her went there with (what I thought) was a healthy budget for a prom dress. As expected got the call from wife two hours later that she found the perfect dress and it's about double what I said to spend but it's her last prom ever and she can't break her heart and blah blah blah.

TL;DR I could have bought a motorcycle for what my daughter paid for a dress that she is going to wear one time to an event she is not excited to go to.
