Who should my Grand daughter contact for taking a visit to

Clemson. She graduates HS this year as an A B student all through school, but she hasn't settle with what she wants to do in life, I know she has been considering being a veterinarian. She is going to start with Coastal Carolina to finish up some things she tells me that she needs, but hasn't settled on a 4 year school as of yet. I have ask her to visit Clemson before she makes a final choice.

if she's interested in any ag major, she should talk with kirby player on campus. he's kind of a "recruiter' for ag students. he can talk about the diff majors, possible scholarships, etc. His email is kplayer@clemson.edu

Advise her that it is very difficult to get in a Vet school. Not because of her or her grades but because there are not many that Vet schools.

Make contact with the Animal and Veternarian Science Dept

My daughter was a member of the first WAVS (2006-2010) class for pre-vet students. Course working is demanding - lots of science (biology - especially Bio Chemistry). There are only 28 Vet schools in the US. Make the grades and get experience working with a local vet to know how you react to animals needing medical attention.

Happy to report that Doc is doing quite well in her 2nd year of practice. Loves large animals and surgery - thinks us pet owners are sometimes off our rockers.

Thanks for your feed back. And I know that I am off my rocker when it comes to my Rott. No doubt that he is the best and most loyal friend that I have ever had, ever. I love him just as I love anyone else in my family, and more than most of them. But again Thanks for the feed back!!!
