at least one for every generation of high-schooler (Fast Times, Dazed, Porky's, Superbad, American Pie, Bueller, etc, etc). Those are easy and all naturally relatable, everybody went to high school and remember the idiocy and funny #### that happened to them and their friends.
Just ONE great golf comedy movie ever made. If you play golf, and ESPECIALLY if you grew up working on a golf course (which I did) - white, black, Asian, Hispanic - it's a classic without peer.
Gotta go with it.

Fast Times Hands Down
Knew a guy from Clairemont HS in San Diego, which is what Ridgemont is based on. Said the movie was the tame version of his 70's high school experience. Every day started with the Spicoli falling out of the van scene.
Plus, Phoebe Cates singlehandedly corrupted an entire generation of male youth, and that has to count for something.

Fast Times and Dazed would have us chuckling and nodding in agreement, saying - hey, that reminds me of the time that... blah blah blah. They did a pretty good job of capturing some of crazier elements of that era. But we had lived it, so no big deal. Does that make sense?
They were still funny, I just prefer Caddyshack if I have to choose. Hard to top Rodney Dangerfield & Bill Murray.
