Loved Tommy West

...getting some credit on the game yesterday for Memphis' current success. His goodbye rant shook them up and made them realize how their program was lacking. Now Justin Fuente is the beneficiary...and he needs to keep his butt there and not consider the Dirtpeckers.

Fuente is making $1,400,000 at Memphis this year.
South Carolina is paying Spurrier $4,000,000 for coaching this year.
That's a rather large financial incentive for Fuente, but I suspect he's going to be getting other others that pay more than this current salary.

...when Hatefailed took over from DF then Hatefailed ran the program into the ground leaving little for TW to work with.

BULLCRAP on Ken Hatfield. He was 32 and 13 even though we were on probation. He won an ACC Championship...it was 20 years before we won another one . He was 8-3 when he left and bowl bound....and what did we get in return...Tommy West who was 31-28 at Clemson....what a turd pick at the time .
Ken Hatfield was a good man who replaced a legend in Clemson's eyes no one could have replaced Danny Ford and done a good job . We got what we deserved when we didn't re-new Hatfield's contract .

Worst 9 and 3 team in the history of modern football, and recruiting was also less than stellar.

Worst head coach in my opinion. There's a reason why he was let go and sadly TW stepped into something he was prepared for at the time. Tommy West is a good man!

it was not the wishbone.. it was the "flexbone", a variation more like what PJ runs at GT than the true wishbone

Now look Ken, we all saw what you did at Clemson. We sat through your miserable years. You couldn't recruit. You hated talking to the fans. Your game planning was awful. Took you three years to ruin the program. You should have stayed in ArKansas. Contract renewed? You are lucky to have gotten out of town unscathed!

Hatefailed was great until he ran out of Danny's talent.

I don't think the amount of money will vary a great amount with the offers he has coming. His biggest decision will be where he wants to go. I don't believe that decision will be Columbia, S.C.
