Do you accept the way college football has transformed? Or is it time to walk away and put time into other sports or activities? I am asking myself that after watching 30 years of clemson football. I just don't like what I see from college football anymore. Sad

The last two season I’ve found myself gravitating towards the pro game. Atleast it has rules. I just can’t do all the portal, NIL, and re alignment stuff. Greed has destroyed a beautiful thing.

I threw in the towel a few years ago. Didn’t buy season tix for the first time in about 35 years. Three years ago a loss like tonight’s would have pi$$ed me off. Now it doesn’t really bother me.

This being the 3rd year of watching us under perform. I'm gone. I've got too many other better things to do with my time at my age.. Proud of 1981, 2016 and 2018 and can live with that.

But I need to care ALOT less about sports.
It really means nothing, overall, except to team/staff/school. To me, it’s just pride. Pride is before the fall, so I need to bow out but I don’t know if I can.
The team quit tonight in the end. Quit. I don’t wanna do that 🤷♂️

You don’t have to walk away. Just work on being less emotionally invested. That’s worked for me anyway. 2 years ago I let a loss ruin my entire week. Now I’m disappointed but will sleep well tonight and carry on as usual in the morning.

This. I used to let it bother me, but the reasonable person inside me knew this day would eventually come. NO ONE stays on top forever. I’m less invested than in years past. Glad I got to see a couple of NC in my lifetime. That’s two more than the coots will ever see! Being freed up on Saturdays during the fall has its perks.
