to CTB losing to WF in 2008. We were clearly better than both and if we win either of those games we are in. There is literally no excuse for those losses other than the coach didn’t have them ready.

It’s called lack of respect when you win the Bowden bowl one week and lose to unranked Wake Forest the next week. The national media coined a term for this that stuck for a long time. Maybe the selection committee saved us from additional embarrassment.
