I'll be shocked if FSU gets in so they fall to the Orange and Louisville to the Gator. I've been saying for over a month Bama was gonna beat Georgia and throw the whole thing into a mess.

Sad that an injury would cost FSU the spot but when it's a QB it changes the whole dynamic. If Travis was healthy, TX would be out but they benefit from the injury.

But what if Texas, Michigan, Washington and Alabama all get their #1 and #2 QBs hurt on their first series? Do we bring in teams #5-#8 to take their place?

I think Winning games with a backup quarterback and a 3rd string quarterback should help there cause. Proves they are a good team. Outside of Michigan yesterday I don’t think any team in a conference championship would have won with a 3rd string Qb.

I'd be shocked if Bama beat out FSU for a spot. To do that is to ignore all of Bama's games, how they won and over who except for the one game against UGA.

I agree.

Were I on the committee I would look at reality … comparative reality. I would knock Alabama down with a loss and an actually-did-lose-except win. I would knock Georgia down with their 6-1 record against Bowl teams. Ohio State is also 6-1 and, like GA hasn’t played enough good teams to get exalted. Ditto for Liberty … 6-0 is good but not enough. I would knock Texas down because they are 11-1-1 with their tie to Kansas State.

So there it is … pick one to join UW, UM and FSU. Not doing that now … get my flipping coin.
