LJ not the home court advantage it should be.

Just as disappointed in environment than I was our team. I remember the 80s when everyone would be reading newspapers and then when team intros happened, the lid came off. Today was like being at a play or something. Littlejohn should have been loud and raucous before the first tip against the Tarheels. And Clemson should buy up the tickets, not UNC fans. Very disappointed in atmosphere today

and finishing third in the ACC like we did last year and being ranked in the top 20 for consecutive weeks like we have been this year are so commonplace in our 100+ year basketball history.

Losing to Morehead State at home in the NIT took that shine off all of that.

I think the excitement factor for most has work off after I’d say prob around year 10-11… I think this team can still get healthy and respond the right way and make a run but unfortunately I believe most Clemson basketball fans are wait and see at this point…. Also I was a student during the OP days and that place was un real every single home game. And we didn’t do anything in the tourney I think ppl just had hope watching those teams… hopefully this team can change the narrative going forward and show up when it matters. I don’t think it’s the two losses i think it’s the way they lost both when all we have been hearing is we are a top 2-3 team in the acc and we haven’t shown that at all the last two games.

Not as conducive to noise and atmosphere. The students show up in larger numbers now. Like there were tons there for the SC game. But it doesn’t translate as well to the court

Classes don’t start until Wednesday. Probably a lot less students in attendance than there would have been if classes were in session. Students make a big difference in the noise level in LJ.

As long as you have Clemson employees, both active and retired, who sell their free tickets to opposing teams and put money in their own pockets, we will always have atmospheres like yesterday. Any Clemson employee who sells their gratis ticket to a Duke, UNC, etc. fan, should no longer be given tickets. period.

I worked at Clemson from January 2020 until December 2022. We didn’t get free tickets to men’s basketball games. Free tickets were available to all sports except football and men’s basketball as long as there were seats available at game time. They were also not available for softball in 2022.

worked for Clemson beginning in July of 79 until Dec of 2018. am a retired employee now. been a season tix holder in football and basketball over that period, and still am. let me assure you there are no free tix. there was a nice discount, maybe 25-30% when i started work. it has tapered down to about 10% now. employee ID will get you free admission to women's hoops, baseball etc... but it is general admission only, no reserved seats.

think it is still true that employees get a $100 credit toward IPTAY. So unless you IPTAY in addition to that, your seats and parking are at a very low level. for example, I IPTAY at the $3500 level and i get credit for $3600.

all that said, there were way too many blue bellied fans there yesterday. any fan who gave or sold their tix to unc fans should be ashamed.

toll over the years. When you're being sold a 'great season' being a one-and-done NIT berth, like last year, you can get a sense of the malaise and fatigue that's taken root with the program.

Fans do not recruit, nor do they develop or coach. And most don't make millions. When a team succeeds, the players and coaches should be the first to be applauded and rewarded. However, when they don't over and over, then the praise and rewards fly away.

I don’t recall who we were playing … maybe Virginia with Ralph Sampson … but the entire colosseum was quiet and everyone had newspapers up in front of them like they were reading them. Not a sound could be heard except the bouncing off the balls and shots off the rims during warmups.

Even the Tiger Band acted like they were playing, but no sound was coming out of their instruments.

As soon as the tipoff was tossed in the air, the whole stadium exploded and kept it up for the rest of the game.

We won! Classic, and unforgettable!!
