I apologize in advance for this long post, but I felt led to share. Happy Sunday Morning Tigers Everywhere!I just read an article that touched me deeply and reminded me of the most important thing about Christmas, well really something we should carry with us daily. A man in a neighborhood in Baltimore county knew his neighbor was having a difficult time and wanted to brighten her holidays. As he decorated his house he took a single strand of lights and ran them from his home to hers. He told her he hoped the lights would help her to feel connected to others in a positive way. She in turn did the same and in just a short time many neighborhood blocks did it as well! Some people used cost hangers to form words and wrap them in lights. Love lives here hangs over the neighborhood where the lights originated. When asked how the lights had impacted her, the woman who had received the first string of lights said this” I look up and see a beautiful light pushing back the darkness” WOW, that hit me like a house falling. That’s what Jesus did for us when he came to Earth fully man fully God. He came to push back the darkness! Tears streamed down my face as I praised Him for leading me to see that article and thereby remind me of the simple truth of this season. He’s here pushing back the darkness in our lives. I pray we would all commit to let His light shine through us to push back the darkness in those around us, no matter if they are strangers we may only meet in passing or friends and family we hold dear. Wishing everyone of you joy and peace today and in the coming New Year!
