let me explain something to you all

I have been a Tiger fan since 77. My first game was ND/Clemson with Joe Montana in 77. Two missed FG's and Leggett getting hit in the shoes killed us tonight. Without those, the fourth and one doesn't even happen. What I want to say is we lost....that is not disputed. I'm a retired U. S. Marine infantryman with twenty years of service. I'm a South Carolina State University graduate who never set foot in a Clemson classroom so I'm not an alum. What I am is a passionate Tiger fan who thanks God every single day we are not the Chickens, Georgia, Ohio State, or Free Shoes University. Those are soulless programs, who will sell their mothers for a win. I don't care what the Richt apologists tell me about his character, his teams are year after year, an off the field joke, full of arrests and issues and a complete joke. FSU had Winston's ### on the sidelines like he was a leader when Dabo would have sent his ### to junior college where he belongs. He's a complete embarrassment to the Heisman Trophy and thank god he's not a Tiger. We lost tonight, yes...I get it....I thank God ever single day we are not like those soulless programs who will sell their mothers to win. Dabo will one day win a NC and we will win it with class and we will win it with players who graduate and don't embarrass the school with immaturity. USuCk, Georgia, FSU, LSU and the others I will despise til the day I die and I thank the Lord every single day I'm a Tiger fan.

Thank you orngpurple, you are right, and I feel the same way. I hate getting on here to hear about how everyone is embarrassed of the team because we lost to their second string qb. Wow, seriously? You want to know what embarrassing is, just look at the team on the opposite sideline tonight. I'll take what we have and our record over what they have any day of the week. It took someone above the head coach to suspend their star player because he didn't have the cojones to do it himself. Bragging rights are secondary to doing things right. I'm not going to sell my soul so I can go into the office Monday morning and brag about my team winning a game. This isn't professional sports, and there's a lot more to it than just winning. We owe more to our student athletes than that attitude, I for one am proud of how they represent our University. So we didn't win the game... Cry about it some more people... I'm embarrassed of the sore losers in our fan base.

Just to name a few.......everything that is wrong with CFB......Auburn too for that matter. Ill take what Dabo is building over those clownshow programs any day of the week. We will get ours because the hollow, characterless programs will crash and burn........its just a matter of time.

whether they are quality or not) is the opportunities squandered in such an exceptionally rare opportunity that few teams even get to see. Being charitable is quite a noble virtue but not on the football field. Not on the field. What our D did tonight was nearly miraculous and deserve an apology in my opinion. This fsu was a wounded animal in the 1st half and should have been aggressively dispatched by the offense in terms of play-calling. We have the play makers to do it too. CM is a superb coach and is also faced with a speedy learning curve but he must learn to evolve. Playing in fear is playing to lose and this will not change if we deem him beyond reproach. I'm hoping he will welcome some scrutiny. I'm all in as always...

Well saidy friend well said! Watching the game last and seeing Winston's mug on the sideline acting like he was some kind of a coach made me even more proud to be a Tiger fan. I told someone the day that if that kid was playing for Clemson, Dabo would've had that kid packing his bags a long time ago. Now to all of those so called Tiger fans out there that blame Dabo, Venables, Morris for every loss need to understand something.....they didn't fumble the ball, they drop passes or whatever kind of miscue that happened on the field. People that want Dabo's head each week for this or that, most likely never played one down of football. I still am a proud Tiger fan and I am also very proud for the effort last night. Lots of awesome, young talent on our team with a good group of coaches that hold players accountable for their actions on and off the field. So proud to be a Clemson Tiger fan!

Good post. I'd rather lose with character guys than make a national embarrassment out of the school by having a supposedly suspended player act like a coach and cheerleader on the sidelines on national TV.
