Latest news on recruiting? You'd think after being in Miami

playing in a BCS bowl, and winning a big time bowl, and defeating another national brand that we would be getting a lot of big looks right now.
Anyone heard anything?

We could always use more big dudes. We are behind numbers wise compared to some other programs at this point. Saw where Meyer picked up a couple after the Army All-American bowl.
I hope that the exposure we got (like we did in the opener) will land us some top ranked recruits.

But it's a good time to pick key 2015 talent that we've offered but not gotten fully on board. And maybe find a few more to offer since there was probably at least one or more unexpected departures. Gotta think Breeland might have caught some people off guard, for example.
The only one to maybe press hard on from 14 is Trevion Thompson. Everyone else is pretty much locked either with us or some other school.

close strong on a few more players.
If we were an SEC team, we would be signing at least 25. We lose a lot of players next year. You can't expect true freshmen to fill the roles. Would like to see us pick up another OT, DE, DT and maybe a LB and WR.

I don't know how you flip them at the last second. There aren't that many that are close to picking us that would fill some of the positions that were "unexpectedly" left to the younger players in the roster, like Breeland's.

I think recruiting for 2014 is probably set.
I look for the positive press/accomplishments from this year to help next year's recruiting efforts.

I'm not sure the difference between BCS/FCS/D-1/D-2 and how it works for dead periods but my son started getting calls again this week from several schools and some coaches stopped by to see him at school yesterday. These were all non D-1 school's, so maybe they still can't until next week.

Dead period is about to end and I would expect the coaches to go after a few more targets, but don't expect them to stretch on anyone just for numbers. If we land a surprise it will be a quality one. Next years class will be huge and the Orange bowl can only help. As of right now this is where we stand on guys we were already on before the dead period.
