What was Stewart and Kenseth doing racing each other like it was the last lap with half the darn race left? Two hard heads took themselves out of a possible win. The new track configuration didn't really help, IMO. What would help is tear the whole track up and make it dirt and make it like a Sat. night dirt track heat race. Now, that would be awesome and the place would sell out to the rafters. Nascar better start doing something to get away from the stale cookie cutter sameness. Look at the crowds this year. Stands half empty. Truck races and Nationwide barely get enough fans to pay track expenses. Shorter races with shorter segments like heta races would help. IMO. We would then see who the real racers were. It would go a long ways to evening the playing field. Let em race and rub and get dissed at each other. It would promote real rivalries. Problem with the 400-500 milers on mile and a half and bigger tracks is that they ride around for over 3/4 of race. Boring. You can wait and watch the last 20 laps of most of those races and you won't have missed much. I hate to see races won in the pits or on gas mileage. Sucks. Just my two cents worth.
