Apparently you need to lose 3 games and not make the playoffs to win the Heisman.

Throw temper tantrums, throwing helmet, sideline antics and just poor sportsmanship. This award has evolved into something totally different from its inception. One qualifying factor use to be the quality, character and leadership abilities. That doesn't take away from their FB abilities but was another box to check. They quit that with Winston, manzel, mad others

Or do the Heisman pose in a loss to his rival?***

We all know DW is the better passer and I like the way he runs the ball better as well. This being said Lamar had over 1500 rushing yards but that doesn't count right?

Rushing yards by qb mean your backs are not doing their job.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

So it doesn't mean he's extending plays and making plays

Well he has more rushing yards than almost any back in college football.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Of course it does. Add it up.

Lamar comes up short.

Cept for the hurdles.

Not at all I was very upset myself. I just think we should stop only talking about the facts that go towards DW being the right choice and see how impressive the stats Lamar Jackson put up are. Comparing the completion percentage and saying nuff said is completely ignoring the fact that LJ had over 1000 yards more rushing and almost 20 more TDs in 1 less game. I know DW earned that 13th game though so I understand if you want to argue that point.

Saw this stat on twitter
Voters shouldnt disqualify @DeshaunWatson4 bc of 15 INTs. Jackson w/9 INTs but 7 fumbles, 4 lost (in crucial parts of games). QBR same 4both

Last year was the year of the Running Back...

Dec 13, 2016, 7:50 AM

sp when Leonard Fournette couldn't carry the rock against Bama, they had to invent Derrick Henry.

This year they wanted a Dual Threat QB to win - so wa-la!

they invented Lamar Petrino

who runs like a RB

and throws like a RB too.
