I had a great day yesterday celebrating with family and friends while I put the 94th mark on the wall, Especially happy to have survived a fall that put a two inch cut in the back of my head. They took me off blood thinners and five days later I had a slight stroke. Luckily a quick response getting to the ER and their quick response prevented a more serious event. Thankful that there is no serious damage. Don’t ever ignore the faintest signs of a stroke. I t is better to be wrong than sorry.

yep, a stroke at 85+ basically did my Dad in eventually and if his guardian niece had dropped by his condo that morning as she normally did, it might have prevented so much damage that he suffered when she dropped in after work.

Still, even though his golden tongue speech was effected, he was able to get around with a walker, went on open convertible 100+ mile rides to the coast with me, ate like a horse, threw down a beer or two and was alive.
