Jimbo on the Hot Seat?
Jul 13, 2015, 9:11 AM
|
|
Call me crazy but if he doesn't fix something quick, FSU is going to have to make a change and all that is great in Tally may come crashing down...hard. He has protected his prized players so much that they now run the program. Winston was given more chances than any other would have gotten. Obvious. Video evidence forced the Johnson dismissal or he would have been given another chance as well. Cook is on his 3rd offense and I'm guess most didn't realize that until now with the dog incident being brought to light.
So he's made it public that bars are now off limits to his players. At what consequence when someone else is found in a bar?
I'm not naive to the fact that Jimbo having success on the field affords him more leash. That's the unfortunate truth bu IMHO he's treading on thin ice.

of the program. FSU is not USuC, Jimbo could be fired one day and a coach just as good or better hired the next.

My nephew works at FSU, and he said everyone's getting sick of the shenanigans. I think you're right. Wouldn't want to be Jimbo right now.

Bars don't cause players to hit women

Now that everyone knows the bars are "off limits" to football players, there will be folks looking for them. It's only a matter of time before one gets caught. Then what?

but they put players in a position to make snap judgements that they may not be mature enough to handle.

Cook had at least two problems in high school, including involvement in a robbery and bringing a gun on school grounds. That background stopped a lot of schools from signing him, but it didn't deter Jimbo and that filthy program he runs.

Banning bars isn't going to help. They'll just throw big Football parties and there will be just as many women.

doesn't matter what happens...bimbo won't be out of a job for long.
Just look at Petrino and Calipari.....If you can win someone will give you a shot.

Bobby did it for years, just standing by the side, or sometimes right in the way, smacking his gum, wearing a stupid looking hat and looking lost.

Funny how his conscience doesn't seem to bother him. I guess if some idiots are willing to pay it must be all right to shaft the University and fans out of their money. Jimbo seems to have caught on very well.

Let's not throw rocks in glass houses. we have our share problems to deal with. If Jimbo is on the hot seat, then Dabo and about every other coach in the nation is too over off field issues.

Didn't Dabo handle the problems ?

Let's see , a couple of drug charges and ONE credit card fraud, how does that compare to 20 Domestic Violence issues while Jimbo's been at FSU ? Go ahead and throw in Sammy's little incident and Joe Craig's dismissal and you still get one program handling it's problems and another one that's out of control.

and deals with the problems, then holds the players accountable instead of taking to the airways and making excuses for/enabling them further. Absolutely NO comparison can be made between us and FSU. That's laughable.

He certainly deserves to be fired. He has been an enabler of poor behavior for too long. Sure, they have won a lot of games, but at a tremendous price to the reputation of their university. I hope they care, but it surely doesn't see like it. I will say that FSU is used to it, though. Bowden was of the same cloth.

Fisher seems to be Bowden on steroids when it comes to lack of control or morality on his teams. That says, Bowden's program certainly was as bad as any SECheat program out there.

He lied about Winston not understanding the rules and dressing for a game in which he was suspended. Jimbo 'didn't see him,' then assured everyone that he hadn't explained the rule to Winston. Both of them are narcissist.

It'll never happen. FSU football runs the show in Tally.

The cops, lawyers and administrators are all FSU alum and/or fans. They're as thick as fleas, close knit and just as conspiring as Penn State. It'll take nothing short of a Sandusky type situation in the national spotlight for several weeks to break up that stranglehold.

The only thing that would put Jimbo on the hot seat down there would be for he himself to get caught on video killing someone. Even then, it's "iffy." I have no faith at all that anything different than what has been going on for decades in that program will occur.
We just need to destroy them in Memorial Stadium this year....in convincing fashion.

I will bet because there is no video evidence you will begin to see the slandering of the woman who got hit. Cook will be retained with a 2 game suspension or less.
FSU gonna spin this one. NO WAY they give up their 1000 yd rusher!

Jimbo won a national championship. The morals of the Criminole fan base are not very high. The administration will be gone before Jimbo is.
