He wasn't coaching this year. He wanted to take the year to be with his family. Dabo would not discuss it when ask about JS coaching this year with Clemson.

I don't hold it against him in the slightest if he wants to take a year off, or two or three.. I'd probably be done for good if I was in his position.

I have no clue how his buyout was structured but many contracts subtract a new annual salary from the buyout $s. If that's the case, it makes no sense for him to immediately jump back in.

This man can be Dabo's replacement if he comes back and takes us back to CFP glory for another decade.
Jeff Scott is more Clemson that any one on the active coaching staff.

Yeah, but the length of a year depends on the mass you are on and how long it takes to move around it's star.
