It's sucks that the baseball team SUCKS!

I live 4 hrs from Clemson, and have been to hundreds of games. Me and the wife leave on Friday afternoon . Most of the time we stay at the Hyatt in down town G- ville. Those weekends use to be fun and we looked forward to big ACC series. Now it's a waste of time and money , it sucks when the Tigers lose. We don't go to every home game but we go to a few every year. It's something to do while waiting for Football to start.
To me it just a shame how this program has fell off and nothing is being done about it. I think a change needs to be made and this should be Jacks last season. It's not going to turn around this season and could be the worst since the 50s.

I said several years ago it was falling off and got blasted here for it. I've never been a fire Jack guy and still am not but it needs something. Maybe the stadium improvements will help but we need something to get going because we should be better and it is sad to see what it has become

I can't figure it out either how these stud players in HS come here and forget how to play. How a HOF coach gets out coached in just about every close game no matter who we play. It's a bad situation and something has to give.

The team has some basic problems, a first baseman and third baseman that make too many fielding errors. The errors put more pressure on the pitchers. Then the coaches make an error or two in the game and it all adds up to another loss. I love the Tigers, it hurts.

I called a couple of their scrimmages and they are fundamentally sound and can swing the bats. It will be a tuff game for them to win unless the team that was in Columbia shows up.

embarrassing...I think a lot has to do with Jack but also I think a lot is on the assistants as well. I don't think we have NEAR the talented assistants we did like say when we had guys like Corbin and Sully etc...we were much more aggressive back then especially at the plate. But to me these guys (especially the pitching staff) come in here as Freshman and have really good years and it seems like they don't get any better, and in most cases regress from where they were. Even the hitters seem to regress over their career here. You don't see anyone making that big improvement over their time here. I think we have a very sub par assistant staff to go along with an old timer that may just have lost it...just my two cents but hopefully he can find something to get these guys going, if not I don't think he will make it to see the last year of the contract next year.

DRad made Leggett well aware of the expectations.
While nothing is going to happen during the season, I think Jack knows that his job is on the line.
Based on the wimmins basketball and volleyball hires, my fear is who DRad might ultimately hire to replace Leggett. Thus far, his track record of hiring new coaches has been nothing short of unimpressive to say the least.

Not enough big-time power hitting; too many errors from 3B - let's see someone else there to light a fire if nothing more; I'd like to see a shorter leash on pitchers to let more of this 19 man pitching staff have the opportunity to develop; and where are the dugout sparkplugs to generate rallies? Players and coaches: Let's get with it!!!!
