Or whenever he made that speech to those recruits.

But let’s face it…he was on life support for a long time. The pull of an Alma mater is strong, but after being fired by them, then jerked around when he was trying to get back into coaching, then Clemson calling him to offer him a job, then Clemson letting him head coach out of a position coach role, then Clemson letting him create the program he wanted, and the two national championships, the eight conference championships, the three sons with (or will have) Clemson diplomas on the wall and the 20 years in the program, it may have had a weak pulse. But Alabama fans chanting “Anyone but Dabo” probably would be the last straw. Anyone still in the “But he’ll be the man to replace the man who replaced the GOAT in three years!” Camp just isn’t paying attention. The man’s blood is 100% Orange.

Just my opinion, of course.

I concur, they may not realize it yet, but they burned that bridge forever. Sark has accomplished nothing, Lane Kiffin nothing, Lanning nothing, and Deboer nothing......yes they are all good coaches but facts are facts combined they have zero championships and yet the Bama fan base is specifically targeting the one person who curb stomped you in a championship game.......i have to believe that is some massive projection by bama fans..........and by the way, you were never getting him, just like the other 3 coaches that rejected you.

Also i have little doubt that Dabos comment i was a Bama boy but now i am a clemson man, is absolutely a shot at there fan base.
