I visited the "BBQ Capital of Earth" over the weekend

as described by our beloved Tiggity®.

I decided to real-life take a lunger's advice. I know we give lots of advice, but no one actually ever accepts the advice, right? THIS IS WHY.
ENTER SCREENSHOT OF PREVIOUSLY POSTED BBQ SUGGESTION
So on Saturday afternoon/early evening....we skipped lunch to get an early dinner at McCabes bbq. We travelled approx 20 mins to our destination and upon arrival....we realize they are CLOSED. Well, now, that sucks, let's go to #2 recommended BBQ capital of the earth as proclaimed by Tiggity® known as "Sugar Hill". It is only 5-10 mins away. Upon arriving at destination #2 we learn that it is also CLOSED - on a Saturday the #1 most importantant day of bbq restaurants!!!.
So guess where we end up? D&effinH. I have been fishing all day, probably don't smell too good, so I walks down to the restroom to warsh my hands. I open the door slowly when I catch a glimpse of a feller reaching desperately to grab the door whilst sitting on the pot. I help him reach the doorhandle by pushing it back in his direction.
D&H was not bad ifn you skipped lunch and been sitting in a boat all day long fishin. We filled up on the buffet with bbq, hash & rice, catfish nuggets and nanner pudding. BUTT if MANNING, SC is the BBQ Capital of EARF, then Clemson footsball has an effective high scoring offense.

Sounds like McCabes and Sugar Hill are just dropping the ball. Possibly catching some bad breaks. Manning has proven itself as one of THE BEST BBQ destinations in year's past, so what you say about today doesn't matter. Tiggity has said the same thing about BBQ for years. It's worked before, so not sure how it wouldn't work now. Manning can't help that it's best pitmasters left and went to the NFL.

check the hours....After I signed off for the day.
It looks like McCabe's closed at 3:00 (we got there ate 4:20) and Sugar Hill should have been opened but weren't.
