Pearman vs Vizzina

Pearman went 24-0, 75% passer, 45TD to 5 int his senior year. Vizzina’s stats looked like DJ at Clemson. 200 yard passer with a bunch of interceptions and losses. At some point are we trying to win or produce draft picks?

MAYBE YOU SHOULD WORRY ABOUT WHO YOUR COOT QB WILL BE.

You're absolutely right. I think a lot of people would be shocked to see Vizzina's high school stats. He lost a ton of games, had a third of the TDs of most of our recruited QBs the last 10 years, and threw a bunch of picks. He also did very poorly at the Elite 11. He might be a good kid, but watching him in high school, I never thought he was starter material for Clemson and got lambasted for it. People sat Vizzina played with a bad team, which is true. But he also played weaker competition.

Pearman was a stud in an okay league and and proved it this weekend he has it.

I was sitting on the 45 on the home side and watched every play of the spring game.

Saw a lot of good things Saturday. Sammy Brown is going to be a household name soon. Wesco looked really good as did Antonio Williams. And it appears our defense is going to be really good this year.

I realize it is hard to judge from a small sample size like the spring game, especially with several key starters not playing, but Pearman was the best QB on the field Saturday. Pearman was effective with the ball regardless of which team (Orange or White) he was playing for. He was decisive, and he made good throws and good runs. He was doing everything I would expect Cade to be doing in year 3.

Did not see from Vizzina what I wanted to see. If anything it appears Pearman might be pushing Cade but not Vizzina. Again, could be wrong.

QB room is going to be interesting to watch.

If a performance measure with the spring game “scrimmages” .. Pearman was clearly the most confident and proficient..However, as we have seen in the past, the best one may not start for fear of upsetting the QB bullpen ..

It's land blasted, not lambasted.

Cade is our QB so don't spend too much energy on backups.

Pearman obviously has the mentality of a good quarterback. Our Defense was swarming them and Pearman handled it. You can't train a person to be calm and decisive under pressure. Until our offensive line improves we'd be better off with a duel threat quarterback.
