Wait... McElroy didn't pick Bama?

I'm very surprised by that, considering he is an alum, and he works on the SEC part for the four-letter network. But thanks anyway

Not really a shock - the claims of bias

are generally overblown by fanbases- ours included. Some commentators are biased, but not to a man. We fans generally show our own bias when we are so quick to jump on any and every talking head who doesn't pick us in every game. It seems foreign to us that someone might have an honest opinion that doesn't favor Clemson in a given instance. But if you listen to McElroy, he's a very much a straight shooter.

I agree, McElroy is a straight shooter

He is one of the unbiased ones for ESPiN, but fans are not being ridiculous or whatever when talking about bias. If you can listen to Desmond Howard, Paul Finebaum, and a few others and not see an agenda pour out among their analyses, you are not paying attention. It's not absolute, but it does happen.
And I realize we, as fans, are biased but you can clearly tell when an "expert" states facts on both sides, not just "Come on, it's Alabama, they're the best". There's a difference and some seem to pick up on it better than others.

They're paid to have strong opinions and when necessary to be biased whether it be subtle or overt. Them being biased gets you engsged.
If the on air talent was measured and very precise in their analyses, 99% would grt board and just turn to WWE sooner than normal.

He was saying that Alabama needed to believe they are the better team this year.
I think part of that "we", though is that their heads are all saying Clemson but I their hearts still have Alabama.
Alabama has been eating everybody's lunch for so long, it's hard for the rest of the world to believe that Bama isn't the big fish and the SEC isn't the big pond.

Did Saban use his linebackers on offense?

Cause if AU can hold them to 14 so can Clemson and 14 points can't beat us.

I am really confused. even though I do not believe Bama should be in cfp, I do not see how it is possible for us and Bama to play for the final game. this suggests that the winner of the Georgia OK ga.e sits home. if those meant the winner of the Clemson Bama game will take it all, then I agree.
