The 6 seed or 7 seed is the money spot. I think with the ND loss, the 5 seed is out of the picture unless we win 4 in a row. I think we are squarely on the 6/7 line, which I would take either over 5 seed.

That 5 seed is tricky because you can get matched up with a really, really good mid major. And then, you have to face the 1 seed in the SWEET 16.

The 6/7 line, you get a much easier path the ELITE 8 because you can avoid the 1 seed. This year, there's really not a tremendous difference among the seeds 2 through 10. All those teams can win on any given night. But the 1 seeds are really freaking good.

7-seeds are not in the play-in game. Play-in is 11 seeds and 16 seeds.

against an 11-17 team that lost to Western Carolina and The Citadel earlier in the season. It is also further proof that a CBB-led team isn't immune from ******** the bed at any given time and losing games they shouldn't.

tourney anyways? We've had like 2 teams in my 40+ years where maybe we actually had a chance to make it to the final four. Or at least get close. and that was a particular season with Cliff Ellis and a particular season with Rick Barnes... and we didn't those year either. So less that 5% of my life I "Felt" like we had a chance.

So what are your real expectations?

For me the tourney is a marker of a really good season. Its always possible I guess to get on a run but.. 5%... i'm not betting the house that's for sure.

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.


The team is entirely too unpredictable and inconsistent...

we came 3 overtimes away from making the elite 8 against Minnesota in that one year, didn't we? Was that a Barnes year?

into the end of the season. That looked like a tired game. These boys tried to get the energy up but just didn't have it for the whole game. Hopefully they get that motor kick-started back again to end the season here.
