Because they were inconsequential. I'd come I to work on Mondays and laugh because they could tell me everything about our game, and I had no idea what's happened in theirs and could care less.
This year I've watched 3 of their games. I fear we are turning into them...obsessed with them as they have been of us. Afraid that they may be a little better than us. These are interesting times indeed, and I for one am not watching anymore of their games this year.

Need I remind you that Tennessee had won 2 SEC games in the previous 2 seasons against Vandy and Kentucky?
Not to mention they lost to a UGA team the week after they lost to us and lost a receiver in our game with them.
So yeah I have. Have you?

I'm glad you think this Clemson team will compete with them.

last 4 years.
What do those games have to do with this years team? You do realize teams can play two completely different games in different weeks yes?
For example: We trounce Wake Forest 56-7. Miami has to beat Wake with a TD in the last minute of the game today.
If every team played the same way every weekend we would only need to play one weekend to know who would win the national championship.
Hell Duke beat Va Tech today. Utah beat Stanford a couple of weeks ago.
In 2003 we lost to Wake 45-17. After that game I bet no one in complete honesty would have said "we win out including beating two top 10 teams.

Naw, I'm a realist. I've seen nothing, especially in the last 3 weeks, saying we are ready to handle business in Columbia, SC on November 30.
And I was at the FSU game in 2003.

these are 18-22 year olds who one week could have the game of their lives and then the next week play like it's their first start.
Also, if you are watching the coot game do you see the missed tackles and Mizzou running all over the coot d?
Also, Mauk is playing absolutely TERRIBLE in this game.

You were probably saying the same thing 1) prior to the LSU game last year coming off a loss to the coots...and 2) starting the year after Nuk and Ellington left and we were to play UGA. How did those 2 games turn out?
This team can bounce back. There's just some issues that need to be worked on, and they need to start working on Tajh's mental game.

So you think we'll be able to stop the Davis/Shaw combo?

We could barely stop Maryland's backups.

When are you people going to realize you cannot use the transitive property in football. What happens in one game does not translate to another...especially when talent is similar. There are so many variables at play... Which is why people that gamble lose before they even start to play.

"Shaw/Davis combo," as you put it, off of what happened in the game today. (which by the way our defense played well all game until the end when we went to prevent for the last 6 minutes)

To answer this reasonably, what did Maryland do in rushing? 83 yards? If you are comparing the two teams and games, isn't Davis a rushing threat? The threat Shaw would pose is the same as Thompson, and the same as Winston...the throwing game. MD held to 83 rushing, BC with the top NCAA rusher held to under 100....Fl State only had 121 on us...what says Davis will have as good of a day against us?
