Make some of these signs, take them to the nearest/cheapest beach you can find. Then take no prisoners. Is your wife's name Karen?

Sorry to hear that.
Jekyll Island. You can’t get less crowded than that. You can camp or stay in Brunswick.

That’s the same recommendation I got last week. I’ve already booked for Tybee but I’m hoping to have time to check it out while I’m down there.

If you can, bring bikes or rent some on the island. You can go all the way around the island on a bike. Short trip from Tybee. 50 minutes down 95.

If you stay away from the downtown areas and piers

then you should be able to social distance. The absurd thinking that going to the beach will give you the Rona has soared more than the virus.
You won't catch it there unless you aren't socially distancing. SC has miles of beaches.
If you don't like the ones in SC, try Ocean Isle Beach area. Those are quiet and much less crowded. Lot's of room.
If you say you can't distance, then you aren't trying and too lazy to walk a little farther for an open spot.

Don’t people usually distance at a beach? You don’t want your umbrellas and towels right up against another families’. People get as much distance as possible on the beach naturally

I totally agree, but there are the Karen's of the world

that think the Rona is living in the sand and water. I've been social distancing at the beach with the family my whole life.
But the minute the Karen's of the world see a side shot of the beach, they scream.

who videotapes herself pitching a fit while being asked to wear a mask, right?
Jesus...the guy asked for an inexpensive, less-crowded beach, and you decide to make it about you being a snowflake and being unable to handle following the simplest guideline.
Way to go, Gary.

Myrtle is slammed and so is Destin. Waves to dunes loaded With people next to each other. Not the typical distance we are used to.

I'll second Harbor Island. Stayed there many times and it was never crowded. The beach is practically private as the island is gated so residents only. It's ~ 30 min into Beaufort, ~ 1 1/2 hours to Charleston if you want to head that way. Roughly the same distance to Hilton Head from there.
Usually pretty good fishing on the old 170 bridge in Beaufort that is now a public pier.

Sunset Beach, NC. I've been there twice already this summer. No hotels, so only locals and folks renting houses.

It's ok to spread the word. St. George is part of the Forgotten Coast of FL. It is nice and quiet.

A beach not crowded. That is a good question. One might try the Alaskan North Shore.
