to try to tie the game?
Why not figure out how to set picks to get Girard free instead? But Brad runs plays at the end of 2 overtime’s to set up PJ to tie it up.

I actually liked the last play. PJ got a clean look, he just missed it.

I didn’t like the previous three he took. It was too deep and felt rushed.

No way GT was going to allow Girard a perimeter look. Wiggins would have been a good option.

Having your big man take 24 ft long attempts in overtime(s)!?!? His legs have to be fatigued at that point. No way he’s going to have good form. Just no excuse.

A play needed to be schemed for Wiggins. Girard wasn’t going to see an open shot, plus he was tossing up bricks on the open shots tonight anyhow.

He's a actually a good shooter, one of the best shooting big man in the country. And he had a good look on that shot, so I really don't mind it that much. I wouldn't have minded Wiggins getting a look either though. There's almost no way GT would've left Joe open. But the whole team struggled badly from three tonight, and as others have pointed out, some of the other three-point attempts were forced and should not have been taken. But that particular shot was fine. What I do have a big issue with was the decision not to foul at the end of regulation. That cost Clemson the game. The free throw shooting and the three-point foul also didn't help.

Because he was having a career night and JG3 wasn't.
But perhaps GT covered JG3 well and PJ had to be the option.
Agree with you, could have added Jack Clark and Wiggins along with Shef, JG3 and PJ.
Taller players and each a threat to shoot a 3.
Instead, Shef, Chase and Dillon were on floor... (I think) so everything pointed to JG3.
Coach BB does not inspire or instill confidence. That is what Clemson basketball needs. It's what these players need, certainly right now.

I’m not sure why you continuously take 3’s when you miss most of them. Some nights are not your night but continue to bang a square peg into a round hole.

Lousy coaching and terrible perimeter defense cost Clemson the win in regulation.
With a 3-point lead and less than 10 seconds remaining on the clock, it's a no brainer to foul in that situation. I don't recall if we had any fouls to give, but even if it is a shooting foul and GT makes both, you still have the ball and a 1-point lead.
