If they’re going to keep it like that, then college football needs a 2 minute warning. That’ll give networks an additional ad break, so I assume that will happen in the future.

TV timeouts or extended commercial breaks.

Some brilliant executive... "Hey let's shorten the game so we can have more commercial time during this three hour time block we have for this 1.5 hour game."

On the bright side, if you're watching at home there are plenty of opportunities for bathroom breaks!
