that opposing coaches have developed "The Book" on how to beat Clemson. Against good pitching, especially rise ballers, our bats are extinct. And, our own pitchers, even Valerie Cagle, are getting beat around this year. Val is now 7-5 for the year after yesteday's loss. Regan Spencer and Millie Thompson have pitched well for the most part, but, even Millie couldn't pull us out yesterday. And, MCCubbin can't really be counted on to throw strikes when she HAS to.

In short, we got a WHOLE lot of work and improvements to make if this 2024 team is going to go to post season and make any noise at all. I don't know if everybody is just pressing too much, because they know it is the last ride for several of them, or if "The Book" means this is a permanent downturn. Sure hope it is the first option.
