Maybe it’s the influx of coots trying to troll us or maybe it’s because we Tigers were starving to death for this basketball run. I choose to believe the latter. I, among others, have been screaming we can be elite in all sports including basketball. We have the fan base, boosters, and alumni support. We also have the premier league in basketball. ESPN’s narrative that the ACC is in decline the last 10-years doesn’t hold water. The stats show that the ACC has still dominated the NCAAT winning 40% of the championships across that span. Today we have 3 of the elite 8 teams and only one is from the triangle in NC. Back to the matter at hand; we see the outpouring of support and elation of Tiger Nation. Let’s invest in basketball like we did football and this won’t be an anomaly! Let’s go shock the world! Go Tigers!
