They can get however much the team wants to give.

After round 10, though, anything over $100,000 counts against the team's pool of money. So the team would have to really, really want a HS player to offer much money at this point. Hardly any HS players even being drafted at this late stage.

a prospect and his family will have a signing bonus number in mind and they will pretty much let teams know that if they're not prepared to pay that amount, not to bother drafting him.

It's pretty much a win win for the kid. If he gets drafted, he gets paid. If not, he heads-off to college in August as a scholarship student-athlete.

The kid is not a pro baseball player at this point. He may be in a couple years, but as of right now I would be shocked if he is picked and signed.
