What's crazier is that it was neck & neck between us and China until swimming and gymnastics started!
As of this morning, Great Britain is in 2nd in total medals but we are still 34 ahead of them! Go USA!

It doesn't hurt that we already have a numerical advantage just due to the number of athletes we send to the Olympics.

Plenty of olympic althletes work everyday jobs just like me. The last company I worked for had 2 in the winter olympics. The level of support depends on the sport.
