transfer ever?
Also, the hole left in my soul when Jimbo Fisher transferred from Coach Wilhelm's baseball program has never been filled. No, really.

I've told this story before but that dude was a man among boys. There was one game during the one year he played here where I happened to be standing near where the players got on the busses before running down the hill and you know as each player comes out of the locker room you're overwhelmed by how much bigger/stronger they are when you see them up close in person. And then Trevor Pryce comes out of the locker room and words just can't describe how he stood out compared to the other players... just a GIANT! Just huge, solid muscle, freak of nature by a wide margin. Made the rest of the team look like high school football players.
But yes... I remember thinking at the time if we could've gotten 2, 3 of these guys, we might win the ACC!

Yes, but there weren’t many. Danny only took one to my knowledge (George Smith). When he turned out to be a lazy slug, Danny swore he would never take another, and he never did.

Lazy or he didn't carry Danny's favorite "plug"?

I’m not sure if he was considered a transfer, but I believe Johnny Rembert came to Clemson either from a Junior College or some Community College.. he came in 1981 and had a fine career at C U and in the pros.

and CU was his 2nd choice behind MI. I think Lloyd Carr may have been run off due to a DUI or something and TP decided to bounce. He said he didn't give it a lot of thought, he just went to his 2nd original choice.
Yes, he was a man among boys. It was all LOL watching teams like NCST try to double team him and 2 simply could not block the 1 dude.
Nice guy, that TP.

Pryce, despite only being here 1 year, is one of my favorite former Tigers. He and Dawkins basically carried the Clemson name in the NFL for better part of a decade. After retirement published graphic novels for kids. Then got them produced for Netflix as an animated series. Then invested back in Baltimore, which can sorely use it, by opening a production studio. Interesting guy who is by all accounts a great dude.

T Pryce was a great player. His HS teammate, Rob Stanton, a TE and baseball player who would later transfer to a Florida school came in my freshman year and as all the freshmen would talk about this guy or that guy being the greatest freshman, Rob would always tell us about his HS teammate, Trevor who is at Michigan.
Fast forward a couple years and we get this freak of nature transfer… and all the stories were true. Trevor Pryce was a monster. I remember our WR coach asking the WR room at the beginning of a film session, "You guys wanna know what a million dollars looks like?" We're like, "Yeah, sure coach." And Coach Stockstill hit play on the video from one of our practices and he kept the laser pointer on our 6'7" 280 DE chasing down one of our speedy RB's from behind for a one yard loss on a toss sweep to the opposite side of the field.
Trevor was an awesome player, and as someone above mentioned, he has been very successful beyond football. Trevor is just a good human and yes, probably our best transfer ever.
