IPTAY just sent out an email regarding Georgia tickets...

Jun 8, 2021, 4:39 PM

Effectively, 2021 Season IPTAY Priority Points:

250+ will receive up to eight (8) tickets

200-249 will receive up to six (6) tickets

1-199 will receive up to four (4) tickets

Further information about location of tickets and delivery of tickets will come later in the summer.

Considering that only 28,000 tickets were allocated per school, I still think the actual number of tickets distributed will be about half of what is reflected above.

Typically if you requested above the minimum and meet the qualifications they only knock you down to the max your points allow. Do you think that'll change?

For example someone with 200 points requested 8 tickets I would think they'll get 6.

I'm thinking half...

In other words, if someone with 200 points requested 8, they may get 4

Of the 28,000 tickets allocated, a bunch will go to coaches families, athletic department staff and their families, and the band which will leave something in the 23,000 range for season ticket holders.

I don't really follow your logic. IPTAY has already accounted for all the tickets. They know how many tickets they have available, who all submitted requests, and what level those people are at. They have already factored in the tickets they withhold for the groups you've listed below. This estimate has been spot on accurate in the past.

Someone who has 200+ points and requested 8 tickets, will receive 6 tickets.

I don't share you confidence or optimism.

I have been a loyal IPTAY member for over 30 years. During my tenure, rarely have they been spot-on accurate about anything. The "good ole boy" system is still operating to a great extent.

It's one thing for them to make estimates prior to receiving actual requests and knowing how many tickets they will have available. Those estimates are complete guesses and are based on previous years, which doesn't always predict the future.

I've been a member of IPTAY for around 12 years now, and have attended most of the playoff games, all the ACC championship games in Charlotte, as well as bowl games, and an away game or 2 each year. After the request deadline has passed, and they know how many tickets they have available, I've not once experienced them going back on the number of tickets they tell members they will be allotted based on their number of points.

I know some people are "grandfathered in", and a few still receive "good ole boy" treatment, but from what I've seen, the more success we've had, and the bigger IPTAY gets, the less things like that are happening. From what I've seen, it truly comes down to money. You pay more, you get more, you pay less, you get less. Again, that's just my experience, and it sounds as though you've seen a lot more than I have regarding how IPTAY works.

Thanks for the heads up on the email sent by IPTAY,got my 1 ticket to Charlotte to see the Tigers play the Dawgs. Now just need to keep looking for an email about away game tickets,South Carolina definitely and maybe N.C.State looking at getting.Guess the IPTAY and Ticket Office is still waiting on word on how many tickets they will be getting from 3 of the 5 schools, atleast that is what they said when I called and talked with someone in the IPTAY office back on May 1st.The person said that they would send out an email to IPTAY donors once they found out from 3 of the 5 schools they were waiting on.Did not want to tell me who the 3 teams ticket offices they were on.

Anybody else struggling to find their point total?

Jun 8, 2021, 9:58 PM

I'm looking around the IPTAY site and can't find mine anymore. I used to find it there but no luck right now

Only 28k per school? I think that's quite a bit. Not a massive stadium, and they sell some through the charlotte sports foundation and hold ticket for sponsors.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Got mine!

Jun 10, 2021, 8:46 AM

Press pass was approved this week, coincidentally enough! Stoked! I thought it might be more complicated overall (being at BOA stadium & a big ticket) but Clemson has always been great from the media integration side and they basically handled our request just like for a home game in Death Valley. I've never shot at BOA so I can't wait to see how it's different from DV. See y'all in Charlotte!
