One trip I have always wanted to make was to the beautiful state of Iowa but have never done it. I have always wanted to see a boys wrestling match and a girls basketball game at high schools in Iowa. If we went to Iowa, and could get in the gyms, we would miss the field after field after amazing crops because it would be winter. Maybe my wife and I will make those trips one day before our children take our keys. Congrats Hawks.

Both sides of my family are from the north/northwestern portion of Iowa. Region of plains with lots of corn fields, soybean fields and wind turbines. The eastern border has some beautiful areas with the Mississippi River, hills and stone outcroppings.

Extended family is divided between Hawkeyes and Cyclones. Half of them are very happy right now.

Being from Iowa I greatly appreciate the kind words. It’s a great place to be FROM. Last nights game was incredible and Clark will go down as the all time great Hawkeye. A statue should be in the works. And she has at least one more year

If you venture to Iowa make sure to take in the field of dreams and have a game of catch

That's exactly what I had in mind when describing the eastern part of the state! I have family in Dubuque and visited parks along the Mississippi and the field of dreams about 4yrs ago.

Spent this past Thanksgiving in Decorah and Emmetsburg, IA. Planning a family roatrip to Des Moines for a cousin's wedding in October.
