She doesn't know that divorce papers will be arriving within the week. I think she thinks I'm going to put up with her trashing my family for the next 40 years.
I want to email the youtube video of Joe Dee Mesina's, "Bye Bye", or Patty Smyth's "Goodbye to You" and time it for the email to arrive the same day as the papers, which the lawyer says will be Friday. This is going to be totally out of the blue for her. The only problem is both of those songs are by female artists. Does anyone know of a good "kiss my ### and good luck to you" song by a male artist?

using words to inflict pain. You are right about the ambush part though. I think she thinks she is just hitting her stride in putting me in my place. She's putting me in my place alright and that place is away from her. I'm ret to go and have a place to go to that will be home as of Friday, etc...

Find me the part above that mentions seeking vengeance when someone's feelings get hurt over someone else being "negative and nasty" and I'll find you a song...
But if you can't find that part, it may be best to focus on living up to your word and honoring your covenant with God and your wife- whether it means opening up and addressing and fixing the pain that you two have obviously caused each other, or even having to sacrifice and take a little verbal abuse without trying to one up her until she realizes that you are there and enduring that for her and trying to fix your marriage- even through the pain. Either way, your efforts are better served fixing what you have and living up to your promises.
