He sure left him a mess. In an effort he thought was saving the conference, he entered into one of the dumbest long term deals in a market that is changing what seems every other year. This deal he thought was saving the conference may end up forcing its members to dissolve the conference all together.

The SEC did the same thing, only their deal runs to 2034 instead of 2036.

that ESPN put in that untraceable Cayman Islands bank account for him for getting the conference teams to sign that ridiculous deal.

I doubt if anyone leaving the Titanic was really worried about whether the lights were left on or not.
