Don't back out on Dabo now!

Nov 6, 2022, 3:12 PM

Many on this board were willing to sacrifice the team for the sake of one player and now you see what that has accomplished...we`ll still win and watch others go the dance with second class QB..now live with it...Dabo is still the head coach and assistants are his choice! Live with it!

Those of us who are slums of other schools are puzzled by the Dabo /team bashing. We understand that once you establish excellence you want to maintain it but there will be bumps in the road. It doesn’t mean the system is broken or that somehow the coaches forgot how to coach. Y’all have been and still are the envy of the ACC. You will still win out, win the ACC and go to a great bowl. It’s not a championship year but still heck of a season.

“Slums”. Lol at spell check. Supposed to be alums but y’all can have some fun with that one.

I was a tad confused. My best guess was that you meant "#####," which autocorrect changed to "slums." Lol

Dabo is one of the five best coaches in US. He checks every box on a list that is 15 pages long. He is a Christian, meaning the Holy Spirit is his constant Companion. Very wise man.
To do what he does requires a strong faith and an understanding that God has called him here and prepared him in advance for his job.

It is difficult for Dabo to understand and appreciate help. His staff is not comfortable telling him to make changes. Dabo has a blind spot - needs to embrace this Scripture, “with the counsel of many your plans will not fail.”

If we lose him, we are Columbia or Chapel Hill or Chestnut Hill. There aren’t 5 people who can do what he has done.

I agree with your observations. Question now …. how can he make necessary changes?

Chapel Hill ? Ouch!!
What do you think his blind spot is? I’m asking because I don’t know. Is there a tendency to not let assistants have freedom to do their jobs or suggest changes?

How would like to have spent 10.5 mil for ten years to hire Dumbo Fishnet?

I’m starting to wonder if Dabo has control freak tendencies.

Thus the reason why he hires inexperienced coaches he can “train,” mostly promotes from within, refuses to use the transfer portal, seems to call plays rather than letting his OC do it.
