If GT pulls off the win today

Sep 19, 2015, 12:27 PM

you really have to give Paul Johnson a ton of credit. GT is the only other team that is bringing respect to the conference outside of FSU and Clemson. They did what we could not do which was to go into Sanford Stadium and pull out the win last year, only to follow that with a win over a Mighty SEC west foe in their bowl. This was a team that was on life support heading into last season, only to lure Justin Thomas away from Bama and start what will likely be a Dynasty run, provided Ted Roof can assemble a half way decent defense in Atlanta.

The utterly frightening part is that Thomas will likely be there 2 more years.

I'm not sure

I'm not sure respect and FSU go together in the same sentence! Bimbo Fisher runs a sorry program!

they have taken care of business against the gators. it is one of the very few things the conference can point at as of late. If Clemson and GT follow suit, and I think they will, the ACC will get a lot more respect.

GT is legit for sure.

And I agree 100% that its imperative the ACC teams sweep that last weekend to gain respect and improved perception for the conference. Without a real playoff, perception is the only thing that matters towards getting a chance.

Its not fair to say we would have beaten GT last year with a healthy #4, but it certainly seemed to be going that way. The D was great, but the TOs killed us. If ND can play disciplined and score early, it really limits GTs ability to be effective and control the game.
