Dude can sing.
Other thing is, why has this become the Trumper's anthem? He clearly says:
"God, if you’re 5 foot 3 and you’re 300 pounds
Taxes ought not to pay for your bags of fudge rounds"
This is clearly a swipe at the average Trumper.
All in all, the song isn't that controversial. Sure, it's fodder for the average middle class white man who is convinced that he's a victim (sound familiar Keewee and NCTiger?). Seems a bit whiny, and contradictory to the old school conservative mindset of overcoming struggle to live the American dream, pulling yourself up by your bootstraps and all that.
I guess I'm about a month late but I'm kinda glad. A big old nothing burger. I guess I'm glad that professional victims have an anthem to rally to now, though.

He’s whining cause he can’t get ahead. The closer you are to self-reliance; the more your govt works against you. The American dream is dead.
I made it, but I did it in the 90’s. Good luck to people now. Unless you’re starting a “non-profit” to cater to the climate alarmist cult, you have a long road ahead.

I expected to be blown away based on all of the buzz but I wasn't. The title is pretty clever but the rest is just kinda meh. You can walk into any bar on Broadway and hear someone you've never heard of who's a much better musician.
