I realize they all say Webenyama is a lock, but Chet Holmgren should get more praise a d be considered more of a challenger imo.

Listened to a long segment on ESPN radio today about that. The consensus conclusion is that the only way Wemby didn't win it is if he didn't make the 65-game minimum. I agree with that take.
Holmgren is special, but it's like 2004 when Carmelo Anthony was special but he wasn't going to win it over LeBron. That just was not going to happen, and Wemby might have as big of an impact on the NBA as any player that's ever played. You can't not give it to him.

For NBA marketing purposes, Wemby is much more important.

Wembanyama looks to have played a little better than Holmgren tonight in their matchup.

Correct. And somewhat locally, looks like the Hornets got a good one too.

Oh that's right...they have to exist in order to subsidize the floundering WNBA.

I wish the MLB would subsidize softball like this. I think it'd be great.***

to be the worst team the season prior to Webenyama coming out and still not hitting on the 1st lottery pick to get him and hopefully change their franchise. Somehow i knew that would happen.

Wemby seems unfair. Somehow everytime the Spurs get the #1 pick there's a generational center available.

actually thinks he is better than Michael Jordan retires. Once that stain is off the league, then maybe I start watching again.
I suspect that is a few more years off, because James has expressed a desire to actually still be in the league when his son Bronny gets there. Notice I didn't say IF Bronny gets there, James just naturally assumes he will. Lot's of unneeded pressure on that young man.

LeBron is a pretty good public figure. He has never been in trouble,

has set a pretty good standard as a pubic figure and all in all seems to be a high quality individual. He has married his high school sweetheart, raised a family and seems to be an attentive father who is interested in his kids well being and maturity. He gives his time and money to causes that interest him, and in general helps people. All while being at the top of his profession.
If that's the kind of guy you hate, I'm not sure what your expectations are.
