Should have bought an entire building instead of one unit, and I could have if one had been available when I bought in the crash of 2008. Now I can't afford to rent one, much less buy one.

wish I had kept it a few more years but the idea of renting to college students just did not seem like a good idea. Hate to see what one in Daniel Square is going for these days.

They were asking $635K, I offered $655K, and whoever bought for $685K did absolutely nothing to it, never even lived in it.

They rented it out for two years and sold it last summer for $1.175M almost doubling their money..and may have after the rent income.

I can't imagine local SC folks paying this kind of price for these places...

Wow - just looked at the 2022 tax assessment on this property: tax: $2,350 assessed value: $19,470

If that place sells for $1.3 mil the county in SC should go through that whole area and jack up those assessments and fill their coffers...

One of my neighbors just put their 4,500 sq ft house on the market for $675k (they bought it for $400k in December 2019). We are in small town Shelby NC - about a 45 minute drive from Charlotte when traffic isn't gummed up in Gastonia. I'm curious to see if they actually get their asking price...
